Boyhood, filmul la care Richard Linklater a lucrat, în reprize, timp de 12 ani, a câștigat duminică seara trofeul BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television). Linklater a fost recompensat cu premiul pentru regie, iar Patricia Arquette, cu cel pentru actriță în rol secundar.
Cu cele mai multe premii a plecat The Grand Budapest Hotel, al lui Wes Anderson – pentru scenariu original, muzică, scenografie, costume, machiaj și coafură. Citizenfour a fost votat Cel mai bun documentar, iar Ida – cel mai bun film străin.
Unul dintre momentele speciale ale serii a fost premiul pentru efecte speciale prezentat de Stephen Hawking și oferit lui Interstellar.
Gala de la Royal Opera House a fost prezentată de Stephen Fry.
